D.I.Y. Fisheye Lens
Since I bought my E-500, I had been dreaming of a fisheye lens. But until now, I still cannot afford one. What I like about the fisheye lens are the effect of the round distortion and it can cover super ultra wide angle of sight... Read More...

Langat Seafood & Beer Garden

My colleagues and I had a reunion dinner at a seafood restaurant in a quite remote place called Hulu Langat last week. Langat Seafood and Beer Garden is the name of the restaurant. This restaurant is famous for its variety of river fishes and I been told all the fishes are rear by the owner in the ponds behind the restaurant.

This is my first time to this restaurant and the foods are quite OK to me. Following are some of the shots taken during the dinner...  :D

Although its a seafood restaurant, but most of the dishes we ordered are not seafood. If you loved to eat river fishes, pay a visit there!!! Before we left, we visited a few giant river turtles also rear by the owner...

15th Pesta Ang Pow Carnival, UKM

Last night, I went to the 15th Pesta Ang Pow (PAP-15) Carnival which held in Dataran Gemilang of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM - National Univeristy of Malaysia). Pesta Ang Pow UKM is a cultural event in conjunction with the celebration of Chinese New Year in Malaysia. The carnival held 3 days from 17 January - 19 January of 2009, in which showcasing some Chinese cultural related stuffs and performances.

I went to this carnival with only two prime lenses - Zuiko Digital 35mm F3.5 Macro and OM Zuiko Auto-S 50mm F1.8. All the pics taken below were by OM Zuiko Auto-S 50mm F1.8. The colour and toning produced from this lens is different with other Zuiko Digital lenses and i like it very much. Enjoy... :D

Fusion Haven Cafe & Restaurant

Few days ago, my friends and I went to Fusion Haven Cafe & Restaurant for dinner. This restaurant was recommended by a friend for their nice foods and infamous dessert, called Warm Heart. The foods served were mainly the mixed style of eastern and western, as mention in the restaurant name, 'Fusion Haven'...

The ambience was quite OK and romantic...

The lighting inside was abit dark and it's hard for me to take the food pics under this condition...

Crispy Bread...

Korean Unagi Rice...

Western Fried Chicken Chop...

Portuguese Chicken Rice...

The dessert, Warm Heart. Consist of a muffin with chocolate filling, dried sunflower seeds topping and a piece of vanilla ice cream at the bottom...

Worth a visit there... :D

2009 First Full Moon

Today's moon is big, round and bright. It is also 2009 first full moon. Just now I went to my house's balcony with my Olympus E-500, Zuiko Digital 40-150mm F3.5-4.5 and a tripod to experience moon shooting. I tried various of settings with the camera and pic below is my best shot...

Shot taken at 150mm (300mm @ 35mm), F10, 1/250 sec. and ISO 200...

What do you think of this shot? In my opinion, this is not a good shot. With maximum focal length at 150mm (300mm), lots of the moon's details cannot be shot clearly...

This full moon also marked two weeks countdown to Chinese New Year!!! Gong Xi Fa Chai to everyone!!!   :D

Bosco Wong 黃宗澤 EP Album -In Love with Bosco- Promo

Last two weeks, Bosco Wong 黃宗澤 came to the town for the promotion of his first EP album, In Love with Bosco. My cousin sister asked me to take some of Bosco's pics for her. This is also my first time shooting an event of a famous artist...

Bosco Wong 黃宗澤 is one of the rising star actor of TVB. Right after graduating from Form 7 in high school, Bosco stepped his feet into TVB in 1999 at a tender age of 19. For his first few years in TVB, Bosco spent his time as a host for several TVB programmes and occasionally played cameo roles in various TVB series. His debut came in 2003, when he was offered supporting roles in TVB Grand Production Triumph in the Skies and youth series Aqua Heroes. He then took on the title role in Wong Fei Hung - Master of Kung Fu in 2004. In 2005 he made his mark as a solid dramatic and comedic actor in the popular series Wars of In-Laws opposite Myolie Wu, and Hong Kong acting legend Liza Wang. Notably, his performance in Wars of In-Laws obtained him TVB's Most Improved Actor Award in late 2005. Afterwards, his performance in Dicey Business earned him even more exposure and recognition as a rising actor. In October 2008, Bosco went further on his career development by signing a singer contract with East Asia Records. (Source: Wikipedia.com)
