D.I.Y. Fisheye Lens
Since I bought my E-500, I had been dreaming of a fisheye lens. But until now, I still cannot afford one. What I like about the fisheye lens are the effect of the round distortion and it can cover super ultra wide angle of sight... Read More...

Happy Leap Day...and a calendar

Happy Leap Day to everyone!!!...This greeting can only use once in every four years. So, what's so special about today? Nothing special to me, besides i fall down two times during my 'heavy' badminton training today...

Above is the Chinese calendar indicates today is 29th February 2008 a.k.a
Leap Day. I don't know if someone outside of Malaysia is using this kind of calendar or not. But as i know, it has a very long history (since my grandfather time or maybe much more earlier). The big number indicates the day of the month. But what's that on the lower part of the calendar???......Well, image below can explain some of the meaning but not all (because I'm not Chinese-educated, so cannot understand every words written there). I just try my best to explain some... :)

p/s:I MAY be wrong...

Every year, every (almost) Chinese --mainly Buddhist, Confucianist, Taoist and Chinese Animist-- family in Malaysia will try their best to get one. My family will not miss one every year as it's just as important as your toilet paper. Every morning, my father will tear a 'number' from the calendar and used it to put the burned fire bud from the God's altar. If he's not around, I will do it... It's a tradition...

Two more pics to share...

Face of Enlightenment

Buddha...taken in one of the antic shop along Jonker Walk, Malacca.
No matter which angle i shot the Buddha's head, to me, the founder of Buddhism expression shows a state of perfect enlightenment.

After the visit to Malacca Zoo, we went to Malacca Town to have our lunch - the infamous chicken rice ball. After lunch, we had a walk around a part of Malacca old street, Stadhuys Square, St. Paul's Church, A'Famosa, Dataran Pahlawan Megamall etc etc, until the sky start to rain at 5pm sharp.

First time to Malacca Zoo

Last month, my friends and I pay a visit to Malacca Zoo. Well, many people said Malacca Zoo is much more better than National Zoo. But, it's not much different than National Zoo. The only big different is Malacca Zoo have more tigers (no tiger pics below as all tigers went hiding because of hot weather) and National Zoo have penguins and an aquaworld (super-duper-ultra lousy one).

OK...let's the pics below speak for itself...Enjoy :)
