In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007, Colours of Malaysia Festival was launched on 26th May 2007 at Dataran Putrajaya. The festival was opened formally by Malaysia's Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, and followed by a string of cultural dance performances. Guests from more than 50 countries around the world came to witness the launching and performances. The performances was very colourful, interesting and exciting...
I reached Dataran Putrajaya at 7:00pm sharp. Suprisingly, there was no traffic jam along the way to Putrajaya. Without wasting anytime, I start my shooting while walking to Palace of Justice, the launching venue... Enjoy...
The welcoming banner...
Most of the people come with cars and motorbike, but this mum and son opt for 'Harley'-bike 'cycle'...
The launching venue...it's 7:30pm and still not many people come yet...
An Indian family selling balloons...
"Hoi..!!!...Ini jalan aku...Pigi dari sini!!!...."
A troop of Rela members marching to launching stage...
Palace of Justice...one of my favourite shot of the day...
While waiting for the arrival of Prime Minister, I was given a clapper...but with my clumsiness...the clapper fell and broken into pieces... :(
Felt 'malu' with my clumsiness, I left that place and find another good spot for shooting...Along the way, I saw this interesting yet useless architecture structure of Perbadanan Putrajaya complex...
The guests from all around Malaysia and the world...
Men at work...
Some flag-bearers waiting for the arrival of Prime Minister...
The launching and performance stage...
Malaysia's Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, giving his speech...
The festival was officially launched...with some minor fireworks display on Palace of Justice...
And followed by several cultural dance performances...
'Orang Asli' performance...
'Sumazau' dance...
After enjoying the show while waiting for fireworks display...I walked around and saw few traders selling this colourful alarm clocks...
Firework 1...
Firework 2...
And firework 3...and after that...
BYE-BYE...
p/s: I apologies as some of the photos above were blur. All shots taken above was hand-held because I never bring my tripod along with me... :)

D.I.Y. Fisheye Lens
Since I bought my E-500, I had been dreaming of a fisheye lens. But until now, I still cannot afford one. What I like about the fisheye lens are the effect of the round distortion and it can cover super ultra wide angle of sight... Read More...
