Vienna, Austria

Hello all readers (if I had any), I am back again. Again, I would like to apologize for abandoning this blog once again. Many things happened within these few months make me don't have time to do photo editing n blog posting. And now I'm in Vienna, Austria for my 3 months research attachment since early November 2009 (till end of January 2010). From the beginning of my stay here until now, I had taken many photos of this beautiful and wonderful city. Every weekend, I will take some time off from my hectic research schedule and explore around this super huge city. Following are some information of Vienna and also some photos of beautiful Vienna...

Vienna is the capital of the Republic of Austria and also one of the nine states of Austria. Vienna is Austria's primary city, with a population of about 1.7 million (2.3 million within the metropolitan area, which means more than 25% of Austria's population), and is by far the largest city in Austria, as well as its cultural, economic, and political centre. It is the 10th largest city by population in the European Union. Vienna is host to many major international organizations such as the United Nations and OPEC. Vienna lies in the east of Austria and is close to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. In 2001, the city centre was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and in 2005 an Economist Intelligence Unit study of 127 world cities ranked it first equal with Vancouver for the quality of life. So what do I think about Vienna? Well, Vienna is a great place for vacation. You can easily and fully spend 2-3 days here with lots of place yet to be visited. Vienna is also a must visit city if you are travelling around Europe. As for living, Vienna is not so suitable for a person who came from a developing country, like me. Because you need to spend Euro in Vienna (Austria). Vienna is an expensive city... :D

Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan

Teluk Intan is one of the stop of my one-day food-hunting journey while on the way to Penang from Kuala Lumpur last weekend. You are not considered here before you visited the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. It's just Malaysia's version of Pisa Tower... :)

I had a chance to climb up the tower. Well, the authority there only allowed us to climb up to second floor. While I'm inside the tower, my body was tend to move to a side automatically...it's proof that the tower is the leaning one...haha... :D

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Open Day

Last week, my family went to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Open Day in Kampar, Perak. Contrary to what I expected, not much people went for the Open Day. Maybe because of Saturday...UTAR staff told us there will be much more people coming the next day.

The purpose we went all the way from
Kuala Lumpur to Kampar was because my youngest sister will be enrolled as a student at UTAR in Kampar campus soon. So, we came here to have a look at the campus condition and surrounding. It's a new campus with 4-5 huge buildings and few more still under construction. The surrounding are very nice n fresh...where one side have a huge, calm lake and other side have nice mountainous view...

I took some pics of the campus' building and surrounding...Enjoy...
