D.I.Y. Fisheye Lens
Since I bought my E-500, I had been dreaming of a fisheye lens. But until now, I still cannot afford one. What I like about the fisheye lens are the effect of the round distortion and it can cover super ultra wide angle of sight... Read More...

Sunset at SILK Highway

Last week I saw a thread in DCM forum where one of the hyperactive member had invited everyone around Malaysia to take sunset shot of 13th of May, at the same time. I took the challenge but not managed to take any shot on 13th May because of Mother's Day dinner, so I took my shot a day before. The location is at Kajang SILK Highway. The sky's condition seems good in the afternoon but getting cloudier around 4:00pm onwards. I start my shooting around 6:30pm and end at 7:30pm.

Below are some good shot i managed to take. Most of the photos had been heavily processed and some may not like it... Anyway, your comments & critiques are welcomed. Enjoy...

The sunset started to look interesting after 7:00pm...

Cropped from photo above...and heavily processed...

At 7:10pm, the upper angle...

And the lower angle... Which one you like???

At 7:20pm, the sky is getting nicer and more interesting...

And finally, at 7:26pm, the best shot of the day...

p/s: All shot taken using manual mode, which is not an easy task. Some photos maybe look dark to you, but personally, I think it's OK... :)

I think you can improve and work harder to get sunset shots. I just can't really accept the color contrast. Some can be categories as abstrack photos for me. :)

i like your last pic very much ;) 7.26pm shot

for the 7.10pm shot, i choose uppper angle.. and thinking maybe more sky, less ground will be different ?
