D.I.Y. Fisheye Lens
Since I bought my E-500, I had been dreaming of a fisheye lens. But until now, I still cannot afford one. What I like about the fisheye lens are the effect of the round distortion and it can cover super ultra wide angle of sight... Read More...

Powered Paragliding (Paramotoring)

Beside hot air balloon activity during 1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009, there was also a side event, powered paragliding (or paramotoring). I managed to catch some photos of this sport. And it seems to be very nice and exciting.

Powered paragliding, also known as paramotoring, is a form of ultralight aviation where the pilot wears a motor on their back (a paramotor) which provides enough thrust to take off using a paraglider wing. It can be launched in still air, and on level ground, by the pilot alone — no assistance is required. In many countries, including the United States, powered paragliding is minimally regulated and requires no license. The ability to fly both low and slow safely, the 'open' feel, the low equipment and maintenance costs, and the portability are claimed to be this type of flying's greatest merits. Powered paragliders usually fly between 15 and 45 mph (25 and 70 km/h) at altitudes from 'foot-dragging in the grass' up to 18,000 ft (5400 m) although most flying is done under 500 ft (150 m) AGL (above ground level). Because of the low forward speed possible and sensitivity to crosswinds, paramotoring is impractical for most of the year over much of the globe, and is generally a summer sport. 1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009

1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009 had been held in Putrajaya, Malaysia from 19-22 March 2009. Me and few friends went on the first day of the event, but unfortunately, we were late. Most of the balloons had flew to somewhere. Only left 3-4 balloons yet to fly at the time we reach there. Thus, I had only few balloons to show here. I hope you will like it... :D

DigiColor Photography Festival 2009

The stage...

Here comes another old photos post. My friend and I went to DigiColor Photography Festival 2009 in Mutiara Complex, Kuala Lumpur last March 2009 for it's opening ceremony. DigiColor is a Malaysian photography retail shop where you can get cameras and all types of equipment and accessories there. Well, our purpose was to shoot portrait photos of the models there. Not much models for the first part of the event and we did not wait for the second part and went home early. Followed were some portrait photos taken that day. Enjoy... :D
